The Story of Bianchi Orchards

A long, long time ago, in a small community of Dairyville, California, in Tehama County along the Sacramento River, a young, attractive, fun, couple purchased a twenty acre orchard with a large white farm house. The couple started their careers as teachers in the local high school. However, Mom's dream was to become a full time orchardist and have a large family. Dad and Mom drank lots of the good, clear, healthy water and in no time had five children.

All five children enjoyed helping mom and dad and playing in the orchard. They actually played much more then they worked. Their favorite games were Shaking the Limbs, Pick the Walnuts, and Move the Pipes. As the children grew, so did Bianchi Orchards. The twenty acres grew to 40 acres, then to sixty acres and 2 houses. The Bianchi children went off to college and when the last child graduated from school, mom and dad retired from teaching. Mom's dream of being a full time orchardist became a reality and she oversaw the development and installation of 55 acres of new Chandler Walnuts trees.

The first twenty acre orchard was planted in the year 2000, and in 2009 they planted another 35 acres. In 2009, Mom opened a Walnut Club with her oldest daughter and they are off to a booming start. In 2010 they are planning to plant a small vineyard on their property as well. Eventually, they will have a walnut and wine tasting room for all their customers to enjoy. Stay tuned as this story continues...
